Sy Calculator

The Sy Calculator helps users calculate the volume, surface area, material cost, and estimated completion date for a given structure based on its dimensions, material type, and installation date.

Step-by-step Guide to Using the Sy Calculator

Input Field Instructions

Step 1: Begin by entering the required measurements in the corresponding fields.

  • Length: Enter the length in meters in the field labeled “Length (meters).” Ensure the value is numeric and no less than 0, with a precision of up to two decimal places.
  • Width: Enter the width in meters in the field labeled “Width (meters).” The rules for input are the same as for length – numeric, no less than 0, and up to two decimal places.
  • Height: Enter the height in meters in the field labeled “Height (meters).” This should also be numeric, no less than 0, and precise to two decimal places.

Step 2: Select the type of material from the dropdown menu labeled “Material Type.”

  • You have three options: “Standard Material”, “Premium Material”, or “Luxury Material.” Choose the most appropriate one for your project needs, as this will affect cost calculations.

Step 3: Choose an installation date using the date selector labeled “Installation Date.”

  • Select a date between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2025. This date will determine the calculation of the estimated project completion date.

Understanding the Results

Once all input fields are correctly filled out, the calculator will automatically compute the following results:

  • Volume: The total volume of the object, calculated using the formula: length * width * height. This will be displayed in cubic meters (m³) with two decimal places.
  • Surface Area: The surface area is calculated using the formula: 2 * (length * width + length * height + width * height). This result will be shown in square meters (m²) with two decimal places.
  • Material Cost: The total cost of the material, calculated by multiplying the surface area by the material type multiplier and then by 100. This will be displayed in USD with two decimal places.
  • Estimated Completion Date: The calculator will estimate the completion date by adding one year to your chosen installation date. The format for this date will be YYYY-MM-DD.

Ensure all data entered is accurate to achieve precise calculations. Review the results to help plan your project’s dimensions, costs, and timeline effectively.
