- Enter Electricity Usage:
- In the field labeled “Electricity Usage (kWh)”, enter your monthly electricity usage in kilowatt-hours (kWh).
- This field is required and must be a non-negative number.
- Enter Electricity Rate:
- In the field labeled “Electricity Rate (per kWh)”, enter the cost per kWh that you are charged by your utility provider.
- This field is required and should be a non-negative number, with precision up to three decimal places.

- Enter Gas Usage:
- In the field labeled “Natural Gas Usage (therms)”, enter your monthly gas usage in therms.

Step 5: Calculate and View Results
Once all inputs are filled out correctly, the calculator will provide the following results:
- Monthly Electricity Cost: Calculated by multiplying your electricity usage by the rate and adjusting for the season.
- Monthly Gas Cost: Calculated by multiplying your gas usage by the rate and adjusting for the season.
- Monthly Water Cost: Calculated by multiplying your water usage by the rate and adjusting for the season.
- Total Monthly Utilities Cost: The sum of your monthly electricity, gas, and water costs.
