Step-by-Step Guide to Using the No School Calculator

Step 1: Accessing the Calculator

Before you begin using the No School Calculator, ensure that you have access to it via the appropriate platform or application. Once you have access, proceed to open the calculator to begin inputting your data.

Step 2: Entering the Number of Absence Days

The first field requires you to enter the total number of absence days. These are the days you were expected to attend but did not, for reasons other than sickness or holidays. Use the input box labeled Number of Absence Days and ensure your input is a number between 0 and 365.

Step 3: Entering the Number of Sick Days

Next, input the number of days you were absent due to sickness in the field labeled Number of Sick Days. As before, ensure your input is a number in the range of 0 to 365.

Step 4: Entering the Number of Holiday Days

Fill in the field labeled Number of Holiday Days with the number of days you were absent due to holidays. This should also be a numeric input between 0 and 365.

Step 5: Selecting the Semester Type

Choose the semester type from the options provided. Click the dropdown list labeled Semester Type and select one of the following: Fall Semester, Spring Semester, or Full Academic Year.

Step 6: Entering the Start Date of the School Year

Input the start date for the school year in the Start Date of School Year field. Make sure this date is between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024.

Step 7: Entering the End Date of the School Year

Now, enter the end date for the school year in the field labeled End Date of School Year. Similar to the start date, ensure this date falls between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024.

Step 8: Reviewing the Calculated Results

Once all the fields are filled out correctly, the calculator will automatically process the data. Review the results, which include:

  • Total School Days: The number of school days remaining after accounting for absences, sickness, and holidays. Represented in days.
  • Attendance Percentage: The attendance rate calculated as a percentage of the total possible school days.
  • Total Missed Days: The sum of absence, sick, and holiday days. Presented in days.
  • Remaining School Days: The number of school days from the current date until the end date. Displayed in days.
