Step-by-Step Guide to Using the Nutrition Recipe Calculator

Step 1: Enter the Number of Servings

The first field you will encounter is the Number of Servings. This value determines how many portions your recipe will make. Enter a number between 1 and 100 in the input box, ensuring this value reflects the actual servings your recipe will provide.

Step 2: Fill in the Nutritional Information

  • Protein (g): Enter the amount of protein present in the entire recipe in grams. Use increments of 0.1 grams.
  • Carbohydrates (g): Input the total grams of carbohydrates in your recipe. Similar to protein, use increments of 0.1 grams.
  • Fat (g): Fill in the total grams of fat for the recipe using 0.1 grams step size.
  • Fiber (g): Provide the amount of fiber your recipe contains in grams, in 0.1 increments.
  • Sugar (g): Enter the total grams of sugar in your recipe using a 0.1 gram step size.
  • Sodium (mg): Lastly, input the sodium content in milligrams, using whole numbers for precision.

Step 3: Review the Calculated Results

Once you have entered all the required fields, the calculator will display the following results:

  • Calories per Serving: The amount of energy each serving contains, calculated using macronutrient values and rounded to the nearest whole number.
  • Total Calories: The total calorie content for the entire recipe, displayed in kilocalories (kcal).
  • Macronutrients per Serving: This includes detailed breakdowns for protein, carbohydrates, fat, fiber, sugar, and sodium per serving, displayed in their respective units.
  • Macronutrient Calorie Percentages: The percentage of calories coming from protein, carbs, and fat within the recipe, allowing you to see the nutritional balance.
