The Port Length Calculator is a tool designed to help you calculate essential parameters for designing a ported speaker enclosure. Follow these steps to use the calculator effectively and obtain precise measurements for your speaker box design.

Step 1: Input Tuning Frequency

Begin by entering the desired tuning frequency where you want your speaker box to resonate. This is measured in Hertz (Hz). Ensure that the frequency you enter is between 20 Hz and 200 Hz, as these are the values supported by the calculator. This frequency determines how low your speaker system can produce sound effectively.

Step 2: Input Port Diameter

Next, enter the diameter of the port in centimeters (cm). The port diameter is crucial for determining both the sound quality and the overall size of the port. Ensure that this value is between 2 cm and 30 cm to meet the calculator’s requirements.

Step 3: Input Box Volume

Enter the volume of the speaker enclosure in liters. This value should be within the range of 10 liters to 1000 liters. The box volume is a key factor in assessing the acoustic performance of the ported enclosure, as it affects the tuning frequency and port dimensions.

Step 4: Select Number of Ports

Select the desired number of ports for your design from the available options: Single Port, Dual Ports, or Quad Ports. The number of ports influences the airflow and distribution of sound within the enclosure, affecting both audio fidelity and performance.
