How to Use the Chronological Age Calculator

Follow these steps to calculate your chronological age using the Chronological Age Calculator:

Inputting Your Information

  1. Enter Your Birth Date:

    Locate the field labeled Birth Date. Make sure to enter a valid date, as this is a required field. The date should be between January 1, 1900 and December 31, 2024.

  2. Select the Date for Age Calculation:

    Find the field labeled Calculate Age To. Choose from the following options:

    • Today: This option will calculate your age up to the current date.
    • Custom Date: Select this option if you want to calculate your age as of a specific date. After selecting this option, you must fill out the Custom Date field.
  3. Enter a Custom Date (if applicable):

    If you selected the Custom Date option in the previous step, enter the desired date in the field labeled Custom Date. This field is optional, unless you chose the Custom Date option. The date entered here must be between January 1, 1900 and December 31, 2100.

Understanding the Results

Once you’ve entered all the required information, the Chronological Age Calculator will compute and display your age in different units. Here’s what you will see:

  • Years:

    This shows the full years between your birth date and the chosen calculation date. This is rounded down to the nearest whole year.

  • Months:

    Displays the additional months beyond the last full year calculated, rounded down to the nearest whole month.

  • Days:

    Indicates the remaining days within the incomplete month, calculated based on the average days in a month (30.44).

  • Total Days:

    The total number of days from your birth date to the calculation date, offering a precise age in day count.

  • Total Months:

    Provides a detailed age in months, with one decimal point for precision, calculated by dividing total days by 30.44.

  • Total Years:

    A comprehensive age in years, displayed with two decimal points for accuracy.
