Step-by-Step Guide to Using the Current Calculator
Input Fields
To accurately calculate the desired electrical values, you must first provide the necessary input data. Follow these steps:
-
Voltage (V):
Locate the input field labeled Voltage (V). Enter the voltage value, which should be in volts. Ensure that the voltage value is a positive number and can have decimals with a step of 0.1. This field is required.
-
Resistance (Ω):
Locate the input field labeled Resistance (Ω). Enter the resistance value, which should be in ohms. Ensure that the resistance value is a positive number and can have decimals with a step of 0.1. This field is required.
-
Circuit Type:
Locate the input field labeled Circuit Type. Choose one of the following options from the dropdown menu:
- Series Circuit
- Parallel Circuit
This field is required for further calculations.
Result Fields
Upon entering the necessary input values, the calculator will automatically compute the results for the following parameters:
-
Current (I):
The result will be displayed under the Current (I) field. It will calculate the current using the logic: voltage / resistance. The result will be formatted to two decimal places and shown in amperes (A).
-
Power (P):
The result will be displayed under the Power (P) field. It will calculate the power using the logic: voltage * (voltage / resistance). The result will be formatted to two decimal places and shown in watts (W).
-
Energy Consumption per Hour:
The result will be displayed under the Energy Consumption per Hour field. It will calculate the energy consumption using the logic: voltage * (voltage / resistance) * 1. The result will be formatted to two decimal places and shown in watt-hours (Wh).
Verify all input values for accuracy to ensure correct results. The calculator will automatically update the results when any input field value is changed.
