The Fantasy Character Power Calculator is a tool designed to help you estimate the power level of your fantasy character based on multiple factors. Follow the steps below to calculate the total power and classification of your character.

Step 1: Input Character Details

  • Character Race: Choose from the available options: Elf, Human, Dragon-Born, Dwarf, or Halfling. Each race comes with a specific power multiplier:

    • Elf: 1.5
    • Human: 1.3
    • Dragon-Born: 1.8
    • Dwarf: 1.4
    • Halfling: 1.2
  • Magic Level: Enter a number between 1 and 100, indicating the character’s magical prowess. Ensure it meets the validation requirements.
  • Physical Strength: Enter a number between 1 and 100, reflecting the character’s physical capabilities. It must comply with the validation constraints.
  • Years of Experience: Specify the number of years your character has been gaining experience, up to a maximum of 1000.
  • Magical Artifacts Owned: Enter the count of magical artifacts in the possession of your character, with a permissible range of 0 to 50.

Step 2: Calculate Power Levels and Bonuses

  • Base Power Level: This is calculated using the formula: (magicLevel * 1.5 + physicalStrength) * characterRace. It represents the foundational power of your character in power units.
  • Experience Bonus: Computed as experience * 2.5, this bonus adds points for the years of experience your character possesses.
  • Artifact Power Boost: Determined by the formula artifacts * 15, this boost signifies the additional power derived from magical artifacts.

Step 3: Obtain Total Power and Classification

  • Total Character Power: This is a summation of all power components, calculated as basePower + experienceBonus + artifactPower. The result is presented in total power units.
  • Character Power Class: Depending on the total power score, your character is classified into a power class as follows:

    • Novice: Less than 200 total power
    • Adept: Between 200 and 499 total power
    • Master: Between 500 and 999 total power
    • Legendary: 1000 and above total power

    The class label is prefixed with “Class: “.
