- Monthly Housing Cost ($): Input your total monthly rent or mortgage payment. The value should be non-negative.
Step 3: Specify Utility Payments
In the Utility Payments field, select the appropriate option from the dropdown menu that accurately represents the utility allowances applicable to your household. You can choose from:

- No Utilities Paid
Step 4: Enter Additional Expenses

In the Elderly/Disabled Members field, select whether your household has any elderly or disabled members. Choose ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ from the dropdown options.
Step 6: Review Results
Once you have filled in all the required fields, the calculator will provide you with the following results:
- Monthly Net Income: This value is your monthly income after deductions, including housing and utility costs, and applicable medical or childcare expenses.
- Maximum Benefit Amount: The tool calculates the maximum SNAP benefit your household could receive based on its size.
- Estimated Monthly SNAP Benefit: This is the estimated amount of SNAP benefits your household might receive after the net income deduction.
The results are displayed in USD and are formatted to two decimal places for clarity.
