Step 1: Enter the Number of Guests
Begin by specifying how many guests you expect at your event. In the input field labeled Number of Guests, enter the total count of guests. Note that the number should be between 1 and 1000, and it should be a whole number. The calculator will not accept numbers outside this range.
Step 2: Select Tacos per Person
Next, decide how many tacos each guest will likely eat and select the appropriate option from the dropdown labeled Tacos per Person. You can choose from the following options:
- Light eaters (2 tacos): Choose this if guests are expected to eat lightly.
- Average eaters (3 tacos): This is a common choice for average appetites.
- Hearty eaters (4 tacos): Select this if you anticipate guests with larger appetites.
Step 3: Choose the Tortilla Type
Decide on the type of tortillas that will be used. In the Tortilla Type dropdown, select one of the following options:
- Corn Tortillas Only
- Flour Tortillas Only
- Mix of Both

- Total Tacos Needed: The total number of tacos to prepare.
- Tortillas Needed (includes 20% extra): The amount of tortillas required to avoid running out.
- Ground Beef: Calculated in pounds, the amount needed for your tacos with 20% extra.
- Shredded Chicken: Also in pounds, the quantity required.
- Shredded Lettuce: Measured in cups for the perfect topping ratio, including extra.
- Shredded Cheese: It includes a generous portion, measured in cups.
- Diced Tomatoes, Diced Onions: These toppings are measured in cups with extra accounted for.
- Sour Cream, Guacamole, Salsa: Dressings measured in ounces to ensure flavor for all tacos.
