Step 1: Provide Essential Inputs

  • Bolt Circle Diameter:

    Enter the diameter of the bolt circle in the designated field. This value must be a valid number greater than or equal to 0.1. Use increments as small as 0.001 for precision.

  • Number of Bolts:

    Specify the total number of bolts you plan to distribute around the circle. Ensure the number lies between the minimum of 2 and a maximum of 360, ensuring each entry increment by steps of 1.

  • Start Angle:

    Input the starting angle in degrees where the first bolt will be placed. This angle must be between 0 and 360 degrees with steps as precise as 0.1 degrees.

Step 2: Calculate Results

Upon entering all required inputs, the calculator will compute the following:

  • Angle Between Bolts:

    This value is calculated by dividing 360 degrees by the number of bolts to determine the angular spacing. The result will be presented in degrees formatted to two decimal places.

  • Bolt Circle Radius:

    The calculator will halve the bolt circle diameter to determine the radius, presenting this measurement with three decimal precision.

  • X Coordinates:

    Using trigonometric calculations, this value determines the X-axis position for each bolt based on its angular displacement. The results will show coordinates formatted to three decimal places.
