How to Use the Top Cut Calculator

Overview

The Top Cut Calculator is a tool designed to help you determine your target weight, the amount of weight you need to lose, your weekly weight loss target, and the daily calorie deficit required to reach your goals based on your current weight, body fat percentage, target body fat percentage, and chosen cutting duration.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Enter Initial Weight

Start by entering your current weight in kilograms into the field labeled Initial Weight (kg). Make sure this value is between 40 kg and 250 kg. Use increments of 0.1 kg for an accurate input.

Step 2: Input Body Fat Percentage

Next, input your current body fat percentage into the Body Fat Percentage (%) field. Ensure that the value is between 3% and 45% with increments of 0.1% for accuracy.

Step 3: Set Target Body Fat Percentage

Enter your desired target body fat percentage in the field labeled Target Body Fat Percentage (%). This should be a value between 3% and 35%, using 0.1% increments.

Step 4: Choose Cutting Duration

Select your desired cutting duration from the dropdown labeled Cutting Duration. You can choose from the following options based on your preference:

  • Aggressive (12 weeks)
  • Moderate (16 weeks)
  • Conservative (24 weeks)

Result Interpretation

After entering all the necessary inputs, the calculator will provide you with the following results:

Lean Body Mass

This value represents your lean body mass, calculated using the formula: initialWeight × (1 – (bodyFatPercentage/100)). This is displayed in kilograms and formatted to one decimal place.

Target Weight

The target weight calculated using the formula: leanBodyMass / (1 – (targetBodyFat/100)) shows the weight you should aim to reach. This is displayed in kilograms and formatted to one decimal place.

Weight to Lose

This output shows how much weight you need to lose to reach your target weight, calculated as: initialWeight – targetWeight. This is also displayed in kilograms and formatted to one decimal place.

Weekly Weight Loss Target

This provides a weekly weight loss target, calculated using: weightToLose * (cutDuration/12) / (12 * cutDuration). It is displayed in kilograms per week and formatted to two decimal places.

Daily Calorie Deficit Required

This indicates the daily calorie deficit needed to achieve your weekly weight loss target, calculated as: weeklyWeightLoss * 7700 / 7. The result is given in kcal and rounded to the nearest whole number.

By following these steps and understanding the results, you can efficiently plan your weight loss journey with the Top Cut Calculator.
