How to Use the Air Force PT Calculator
The Air Force PT Calculator is a tool designed to help you evaluate your physical performance by calculating your total PT score based on specific exercises. Follow the steps below to use the calculator efficiently.
Step 1: Select Your Gender
Start by choosing your gender from the options available. This input is essential because the scoring calculations differ between males and females. Select either Male or Female from the dropdown list.
Step 2: Enter Your Age
In the next field, input your age. Ensure that your age is between 17 and 60, as this is the valid range for the calculator. This input influences the scoring brackets for each exercise category.
Step 3: Input Your Push-ups
Next, enter the number of push-ups you can perform within one minute. This value should be between 0 and 100. Make sure to be honest and precise with your entry, as it will directly affect your Push-up Score.
Step 4: Input Your Sit-ups
Proceed by entering the number of sit-ups you can execute within one minute. Similar to push-ups, the range is from 0 to 100. This will be used to calculate your Sit-up Score.
Step 5: Enter Your Run Time
Finally, input your run time for the 1.5-mile run in seconds. The acceptable range for this entry is between 300 and 1200 seconds. This will determine your Run Score.
Calculating Your Results
After inputting all the necessary data, the calculator will compute your scores for each exercise category and display your overall Total PT Score. This is achieved by summing the Push-up Score, Sit-up Score, and Run Score.
Determine Your Pass/Fail Status
Your Pass/Fail Status will be displayed based on your total score and individual category requirements. A passing status requires:
- A Total PT Score of at least 75
- A minimum Push-up Score of 10
- A minimum Sit-up Score of 10
- A minimum Run Score of 30
If all these criteria are met, you will pass. Otherwise, the result will indicate a fail.
By following these steps, you can effectively use the Air Force PT Calculator to evaluate your physical readiness according to Air Force standards.
