Using the Geometric Calculator
The Geometric Calculator is a versatile tool designed to calculate the area, perimeter, and volume (if applicable) of various geometric shapes. Follow these steps to make the most of this calculator:
Step 1: Select the Shape
- Locate the Select Shape dropdown menu, identified by the label Select Shape.
- Choose the geometric shape you wish to calculate from the available options: Circle, Square, Rectangle, or Triangle.
Step 2: Enter Required Dimensions
Based on the shape you selected, enter the necessary dimensions in their respective fields:
-
Circle:
- Enter the radius in meters in the Radius (m) input field. Ensure the value is non-negative and accurate to two decimal places.
-
Square:
- Enter the length of one side in meters in the Length (m) input field. Ensure the value is non-negative and accurate to two decimal places.
-
Rectangle:
- Enter the length in meters in the Length (m) input field.
- Enter the width in meters in the Width (m) input field. Ensure both values are non-negative and precise to two decimal places.
-
Triangle:
- Enter the base in meters in the Base (m) input field.
- Enter the height in meters in the Height (m) input field. Ensure both values are non-negative and exact to two decimal places.
Step 3: Review Calculated Results
Once you have entered all necessary dimensions, review the calculated results which are displayed as follows:
- Area: Calculated based on the selected shape and entered dimensions. The area value is formatted with two decimal places and displayed in square meters (m²).
- Perimeter: For 2D shapes, the perimeter is calculated and displayed with two decimal places, expressed in meters (m).
- Volume (if 3D): The volume is computed if the shape is applicable, such as a sphere or cube, and displayed with two decimal places in cubic meters (m³).
Ensure that all inputs are correctly filled to obtain accurate calculations. Adjust any values as necessary to refine your results.
