Guide to Using the Rounded Calculator
Step 1: Enter Your Number
Begin by locating the input field labeled Enter Number. This is where you will input the number you wish to round. Ensure that the number you enter is within the specified range of -1,000,000 to 1,000,000. This field is mandatory, so an input is required.
Step 2: Select Decimal Places
The next step involves choosing how many decimal places you would like your number to be rounded to. Look for the dropdown menu labeled Decimal Places. You can select from the following options:
- 0 decimals
- 1 decimal
- 2 decimals
- 3 decimals
- 4 decimals
This selection is required to proceed with the rounding process.
Step 3: Choose a Rounding Method
The next step is to pick a method for rounding. Use the dropdown labeled Rounding Method to make your choice among the following methods:
- Round (Standard): Typical rounding method where numbers are rounded up or down according to standard rules.
- Round Up (Ceiling): This method always rounds the number up to the nearest specified decimal place.
- Round Down (Floor): This method always rounds the number down to the nearest specified decimal place.
Choosing a rounding method is also required to complete the operation.
Step 4: View the Results
Once you have entered your number, selected the decimal places, and chosen a rounding method, the calculator will display your results. The Rounded Result field will show the number rounded according to your specifications.
Additionally, you will see a field labeled Rounding Difference. This field presents the absolute difference between the original number and the rounded result, up to six decimal places. This helps you understand the impact of rounding on your initial number.
