  • Skier Weight (kg): Enter the skier’s weight in kilograms. This value must be between 10 and 150 kg.
  • Skier Height (cm): Input the skier’s height in centimeters. Ensure the height is between 100 and 220 cm.
  • Skier Age: Provide the skier’s age, which should be between 1 and 120 years.
  • Boot Sole Length (mm): Measure and enter the boot sole length in millimeters, ensuring it falls between 200 and 400 mm.
  • Skier Type: Select the skier type from the list provided. Options include:
    • Type I (Cautious)
    • Type II (Moderate)
    • Type III (Aggressive)

Step 2: Review Calculated DIN Settings

Once all the necessary inputs have been provided, the calculator will process the information to suggest appropriate DIN settings. Below is a breakdown of the calculated fields:

  • DIN Setting (Lower): This value is determined by the skier’s weight and ranges according to pre-defined brackets.

  • Age Adjusted DIN: The DIN setting is further adjusted if the skier is younger than 9 or older than 50, reducing the value by 15%.
  • Final Recommended DIN Setting: This is the final DIN recommendation considering the boot sole length. It ensures the DIN setting remains within safe limits for the length of the boot sole.
