How to Use the Hexadecimal Calculator

The Hexadecimal Calculator is a versatile tool designed to perform various operations on numbers, providing results in decimal, hexadecimal, and binary formats. Follow these step-by-step instructions to effectively use the calculator.

Step 1: Enter the First Number

Begin by locating the input field labeled First Hexadecimal Number. Here, you are required to enter a decimal number. Ensure that the number is zero or greater, as specified by the calculator’s validation criteria. Inputting a valid number here is mandatory for the operation to proceed.

Step 2: Select the Operation

Next, move to the input labeled Operation. Click on this field to access a dropdown menu containing various operations, such as Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, AND, OR, XOR, and NOT. Select the operation that you wish to perform. Remember, selecting an operation is essential for the calculator to process your request.

Step 3: Enter the Second Number

If your chosen operation is not NOT, proceed to enter the second number in the field labeled Second Hexadecimal Number. Similar to the first, this field requires a decimal number that is zero or greater. This step is crucial for operations that involve two numbers.

Step 4: Calculate and View Results

Once all necessary fields are filled, the calculator automatically computes the result based on your inputs and chosen operation. The results are displayed in three different numerical systems:

  • Decimal Result: This shows the outcome of the calculation in decimal format.
  • Hexadecimal Result: The result is converted into hexadecimal, prefixed by “0x” to denote its format.
  • Binary Result: Similarly, the result is also presented in binary form, prefixed by “0b”.

Review the results to verify that the operation has been executed correctly. If necessary, you can adjust any of the inputs or select a different operation to conduct further calculations.
