How to Use the Pool Calculator

Welcome to the Pool Calculator. This tool is designed to help you calculate various aspects of maintaining your pool, such as volume, required chemicals, and estimated costs. Follow these steps to efficiently use the calculator:

Step 1: Enter Pool Dimensions

The first step is to input the dimensions of your pool:

  • Pool Length (m): Enter the length of your pool in meters. This value must be between 1 and 100.
  • Pool Width (m): Enter the width of your pool in meters. This value must be between 1 and 50.
  • Average Pool Depth (m): Enter the average depth of your pool in meters. This value must be between 0.5 and 5.

Step 2: Select Pool Characteristics

Now, select the following characteristics that affect your pool’s calculations:

  • Pool Shape: Choose the shape of your pool from the available options (Rectangle, Oval, or Circular). Each shape has a specific calculation factor.
  • Cleaning Frequency: Select how often you clean your pool (Daily, Every 2 days, or Weekly). This choice affects the amount of chemicals needed.

Step 3: Calculate Results

Once you have entered all the required inputs, the calculator will automatically generate the following results:

  • Pool Volume: This will show the total volume of your pool in cubic meters, calculated as the product of the pool’s length, width, depth, and shape factor.
  • Water Volume in Liters: This displays the equivalent volume of your pool in liters.
  • Chlorine Needed (Daily): Calculated based on the water volume and cleaning frequency, this indicates how much chlorine is required daily.
  • pH Balancer Weekly: Provides the amount of pH balancer needed weekly based on the total water volume.
  • Algaecide Weekly: Displays the required weekly algaecide amount in milliliters.
  • Daily Filter Runtime: Shows the recommended daily runtime for your pool filter in hours.
  • Estimated Monthly Water Cost: Offers an estimate of your monthly water cost in USD, calculated from the water volume.

Review these values to ensure you have adequate supplies and are maintaining your pool efficiently. Adjust the parameters and re-calculate as necessary to explore different scenarios and keep your pool in excellent condition.
