Step 1: Enter Basic Information

    Select the gender of the child by choosing either Male or Female from the dropdown menu. This input is mandatory for the calculation.
  2. Current Age (years):
    Input the current age of the child. Ensure that you enter a value between 0 and 20 years. Decimal values such as 0.5 are allowed, indicating half years.

Step 2: Input Height Information

  1. Current Height (cm):
    Enter the child’s current height in centimeters. Ensure that the height is between 30 cm and 220 cm.
  2. Father’s Height (cm):
    Enter the height of the child’s father in centimeters, in the range of 130 cm to 220 cm.
  3. Mother’s Height (cm):
    Input the height of the child’s mother in centimeters, also ensuring it is between 130 cm and 220 cm.

Step 3: Review the Predictions

  1. Genetic Potential Height:
    Based on the inputted heights of the parents and the child’s gender, this field will show the potential height the child might reach. The calculation for this is based on an average formula that considers parental heights.
  2. Minimum and Maximum Predicted Adult Height:
    These fields will provide a range of potential heights the child might grow to as an adult. The range is calculated by subtracting and adding 8.5 cm from the genetic potential height.
  3. Growth Completion Percentage:
    This percentage indicates how much of the child’s growth is completed compared to the predicted genetic height. For males, full growth is typically complete by age 18, and for females by age 16.
  4. Estimated Remaining Growth:
    This value indicates the potential growth left in centimeters before reaching the genetic potential height.
