How to Use the IVF Pregnancy Calculator

This IVF Pregnancy Calculator is designed to help you estimate significant pregnancy milestones and dates based on your embryo transfer details. Follow the steps below to obtain the information you need.

Step 1: Input Your Details

  1. Embryo Transfer Date:

    • Select the date when the embryo transfer occurred. Make sure the date is between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2025, as per the calculator’s validation requirements.
    • This date is crucial as it serves as a starting point for calculating other important dates.
  2. Embryo Type/Day:

    • Choose between “Day 3 Embryo” or “Day 5 Blastocyst” to indicate the stage of the embryo at the time of transfer. This selection will affect the calculation of the conception date.

Step 2: Understanding the Results

Once you have input your details into the calculator, it will automatically compute the following information:

  • Conception Date: The estimated date of conception, calculated by subtracting the embryo type value (3 or 5 days) from the embryo transfer date.
  • Due Date: This is projected as 266 days from the conception date, representing an average full-term pregnancy.
  • Current Week of Pregnancy: Shows the number of completed weeks of pregnancy by dividing the number of days since conception by 7.
  • Current Day of Pregnancy: Provides the number of additional days on top of the completed weeks, indicating exactly how far along you are in the pregnancy.
  • First Trimester End Date: Marks the conclusion of the first trimester, computed as 84 days from the conception date.
  • Second Trimester End Date: Indicates the ending of the second trimester, calculated 182 days from conception.
  • First Ultrasound Date: A suggested date for the first ultrasound, scheduled 21 days after the embryo transfer date.
  • NT Scan Due Date: Shows the due date for the nuchal translucency scan, calculated as 77 days from the conception date.
  • Anomaly Scan Due Date: Planned for 140 days from the conception date, providing a timeframe for a detailed fetal ultrasound focused on detecting anomalies.

Step 3: Routine Monitoring

Keep track of these dates for regular check-ups and to better understand your pregnancy’s progress. Always consult with your healthcare provider for medical advice aligned with these estimated milestones.
