Step 1: Enter Your Personal Information

Begin by providing your basic personal details in the calculator.

  • Age: Enter your age using the number field provided. Your age must be between 18 and 120 years.
  • Gender: Choose your gender from the available options: Male or Female. This information is crucial for calculating specific body composition metrics accurately.

Step 2: Provide Your Body Measurements

Next, input your body measurements into the calculator.

  • Weight (kg): Enter your weight in kilograms. The acceptable range for weight entry is between 30 and 300 kg.
  • Height (cm): Enter your height in centimeters. The valid entry range is from 120 to 250 cm.
  • Neck Circumference (cm): Input your neck circumference. Values must be between 20 and 80 cm.
  • Waist Circumference (cm): Enter your waist circumference measurement. The acceptable range is between 40 and 200 cm.
  • Hip Circumference (cm): If you are female, enter your hip circumference (this is optional for males). The range should be between 40 and 200 cm if applicable.

Once you have entered all necessary information, the calculator will compute several key metrics related to your body composition.

  • Body Mass Index (BMI): This value is calculated using your weight and height. It will appear with one decimal, indicating your BMI level.
  • Body Fat Percentage: The calculator determines body fat percentage differently for males and females:
    • For Males: The body fat percentage is computed using neck and waist circumferences, along with height.
    • For Females: Hip circumference is included in the computation along with neck and waist circumferences, and height.
  • Lean Body Mass: This displays the mass of your body excluding fat, given in kilograms.
  • Body Fat Mass: This shows the mass of fat in your body in kilograms and is calculated based on your total weight and body fat percentage.
  • Waist-to-Height Ratio: Indicating the ratio of waist circumference to height, expressed to three decimal places.
  • Waist-to-Hip Ratio: Specifically for females, this metric compares waist and hip circumferences and is expressed to two decimal places.
