Understanding Your Results

  1. BMI Score:

Once you’ve input all the necessary information, the calculator will display your BMI Score. This is calculated using the formula: (weight * 703) / (height * height).

  2. Body Fat Percentage:

The calculator will also show your Body Fat Percentage. This percentage is calculated differently for males and females based on additional measurements of waist, hip, and neck if needed.

  3. Army Status:

Your Army Status will be determined based on your BMI. The status could be Within Standards, Borderline, or Above Standards, depending on your BMI score.

  4. Recommended Weight Range:

The calculator provides a Recommended Weight Range based on a BMI range of 19 to 25. This range will guide you to maintain a healthy weight.

  5. Weight to Lose:

If your BMI exceeds 27.5, the calculator will show how much weight you need to lose to reach a BMI of 27.5 or lower, displayed as Weight to Lose.

By following these steps and reviewing the results, you can effectively use the Army BMI Calculator to monitor your fitness and ensure you meet Army standards.
