How to Use the Cubic Foot Calculator
This guide will assist you in using the Cubic Foot Calculator to compute the volume of an object in various units of measurement. Follow the steps outlined below to use this tool effectively.
Step 1: Enter the Dimensions
- Length: Locate the input field labeled Length (feet). Enter the length of the object in feet. Ensure you input a positive value, as the calculator requires it.
- Width: Find the input field labeled Width (feet). Input the width of the object in feet. Again, ensure the value is positive to meet validation requirements.
- Height: Proceed to the input field labeled Height (feet). Enter a positive value for the height of the object in feet.
Note: All measurements must be entered as numerical values with a minimum increment of 0.01 feet to adhere to the calculator’s step validation logic.
Step 2: Calculate the Volume
After entering all the required dimensions, the calculator will automatically compute the volume in different units:
- Volume in Cubic Feet: This will be calculated using the formula length * width * height and displayed with the label Volume in Cubic Feet, formatted to two decimal places and suffixed with “ft³”.
- Volume in Cubic Inches: The computation is based on the formula length * width * height * 1728. The result will be shown under the label Volume in Cubic Inches with a precision of two decimal places and followed by “in³”.
- Volume in Cubic Yards: Using the formula (length * width * height) / 27, the volume will be calculated and presented beneath the label Volume in Cubic Yards, formatted to two decimal places and suffixed with “yd³”.
With accurate dimensions and measurement units, the calculator provides valuable insights into the volume of your object, aiding in various planning and engineering tasks.
