How to Use the Cy Calculator

The Cy Calculator is a tool designed to calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE), Body Mass Index (BMI), Ideal Weight Range, and the Weight you need to Gain or Lose. Follow these step-by-step instructions to use the calculator effectively.

Step 1: Enter Your Height

Input Field: Height (cm)

  • Type: Number
  • Label: Height (cm)
  • Enter your height in centimeters.
  • Ensure that your height lies between 100 and 250 cm.

Step 2: Enter Your Weight

Input Field: Weight (kg)

  • Type: Number
  • Label: Weight (kg)
  • Enter your weight in kilograms.
  • Your weight should be between 30 and 300 kg.

Step 3: Enter Your Age

  • Age must be between 15 and 100.

    • Moderately active (moderate exercise 3-5 days/week): 1.55
    • Very active (hard exercise 6-7 days/week): 1.725
    • Extra active (very hard exercise & physical job): 1.9

Step 6: View Your Results

After filling in all the required fields, the Cy Calculator will compute the following results:

  • Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR): The number of calories you need per day to maintain your current weight.
  • Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE): Your BMR multiplied by your activity level.
  • Body Mass Index (BMI): A measure of body fat based on height and weight.
  • Ideal Weight Range: Based on a BMI of 18.5-24.9.
  • Weight to Lose/Gain: The difference between your current weight and your ideal weight.
