How to Use the FBA Fee Calculator

This guide will help you use the FBA Fee Calculator to determine various fees and your potential profit for a product you want to sell.

Step 1: Select Product Category

  • Locate the Product Category field. It is a dropdown selection.
  • Choose between Standard-Size or Oversize options. This selection impacts the calculation of fees such as Fulfillment and Monthly Storage Fees.

Step 2: Enter Product Dimensions and Weight

  • Input the Product Weight (lbs). This field requires a numerical value between 0.01 and 150.
  • Enter the dimensions of your product:
    • Length (inches): Must be at least 0.01 inches.
    • Width (inches): Must be at least 0.01 inches.
    • Height (inches): Must be at least 0.01 inches.

Step 3: Input Product Price

  • Enter the Product Price ($). This value is essential for calculating the Referral Fee and Net Profit. The minimum allowable price is $0.01.

Step 4: Review Calculated Results

Once all input fields are completed, the calculator will compute the relevant financial metrics:

  • Dimensional Weight: Calculated using the formula (length * width * height) / 139.
  • Billable Weight: The greater of the actual weight or the dimensional weight.
  • Fulfillment Fee: Depends on the product category and billable weight.
  • Monthly Storage Fee: Based on the dimensional volume and product category.
  • Referral Fee (15%): Product price multiplied by 15%.
  • Total FBA Fees: Sum of Fulfillment Fee, Storage Fee, and Referral Fee.
  • Net Profit: The difference between the product price and total FBA fees.
  • Profit Margin: Represents the percentage of profit made from the product price.

Step 5: Analyze Your Profitability

Review the calculations to determine if the potential FBA fees and profit margins meet your business expectations. Consider adjusting your product price, packaging, or category to optimize profitability.
