Step-by-Step Guide
1. Selecting the Type of Fruit
- Select Fruit: From the dropdown menu, choose the type of fruit you wish to purchase. Options include Apple, Orange, Banana, and Grape.
- This selection is mandatory for the calculation to proceed.
2. Inputting Quantity
- Quantity (pieces): Enter the number of fruit pieces you wish to purchase in the provided field.
- This should be a whole number between 1 and 1000, and it is a necessary input.
3. Setting the Price per Unit
- Price per Unit ($): Input the cost of one piece of fruit in dollars and cents.
- The amount must be between $0.01 and $100. This input is compulsory.
4. Entering the Purchase Date
- Purchase Date: Select the date on which you plan to purchase the fruit within the year 2024.
- This field is essential and must fall between January 1 and December 31, 2024.
5. Reviewing the Results
- Total Cost: Automatically calculated as the quantity of fruit multiplied by the price per piece. Displayed in USD with two decimal precision.
- Bulk Discount: If the quantity is 10 or more, a 10% discount on the total cost is applied. This is shown in USD with two decimal precision.
- Final Price: The total cost minus any bulk discount, also shown in USD with two decimal precision.
- Price Per Piece After Discount: The final price divided by the quantity to get the discounted price per piece in USD, rounded to two decimal places.
- Days Since Purchase: The number of days from today’s date to the purchase date, without decimals.
