Step-by-Step Guide to Using the IQ Calculator

Step 1: Enter Personal Information

Begin by entering your details in the provided input fields. Each field is important for accurately calculating your IQ score.

  • Age: Use the Age field to input your age. Make sure the number is between 6 and 120.
  • Time Spent: In the Time Spent (minutes) field, enter the total number of minutes you took to complete the test. The value should be between 1 and 120.
  • Correct Answers: Enter the number of questions you answered correctly in the Correct Answers field. This number should be between 0 and 50.
  • Test Type: Select the type of IQ test you took from the Test Type dropdown. You can choose from Standard IQ Test, Advanced IQ Test, or Basic IQ Test.

Step 2: Review the Calculated Results

After entering all necessary inputs, review the calculated results displayed by the calculator. These results are derived from several computations:

  • Raw Score: This score is calculated using the formula: (correctAnswers / 50) * 100. It reflects your basic performance on the test with a suffix of “points.”
  • Time Adjustment Factor: Calculated using max(0, 1 - (timeSpent - 45) / 90), this factor accounts for the time efficiency of completing the test.
  • Age Adjustment Factor: The adjustment based on age is calculated as follows: age 60 ? (1 + (age - 60) * 0.01) : 1).
  • Final IQ Score: This is computed using the formula: round(((rawScore * timeAdjustment * ageAdjustment * testType) + 100) * 0.85). The score is rounded to the nearest whole number and presented with an “IQ” suffix.
  • IQ Category: Based on your final IQ score, you will be assigned an IQ category. The options range from “Low” to “Genius or near genius” depending on your score.

Step 3: Interpret Your IQ Results

Once you have reviewed your scores and factors, interpret the results:

  • Understand your Final IQ Score in context with the general population using the IQ Category. This will give you a relative understanding of where you stand.
  • Consider how the Time Adjustment and Age Adjustment Factors might have influenced your score.

Follow the above steps to effectively use the IQ Calculator and gain insights into your cognitive abilities.
