• Last Digit of Birth Year: This is calculated as your birth year modulo 10, i.e., the last digit of the year you entered.
• Sum of Digits: This calculation is gender-dependent. If the last digit of the birth year is 0, the result is 0. Otherwise, for males, it is computed as 10 minus the last digit, and for females, it is 5 plus the last digit.
• Your Kua Number: If the sum of digits is greater than 9, and equals 10, you will receive a Kua Number of 1. Otherwise, the Kua Number is the sum of digits minus 9 if it is greater than 9, else it remains the same.
• Kua Group: Based on your gender and Kua Number, you will fall into either the East Group or the West Group. Males with Kua Numbers of 1, 3, 4, or 9 belong to the East Group, with others in the West Group. For females, Kua Numbers of 2, 5, 6, or 8 belong to the East Group, while others are categorized into the West Group.
