Guide to Using the Pokemon Coverage Calculator
The Pokemon Coverage Calculator is designed to help trainers assess their team’s type effectiveness, both defensively and offensively. Follow this step-by-step guide to make the most of its functionalities.
Step 1: Selecting Primary and Secondary Types
Begin by choosing the types that represent your Pokemon’s attributes:
- Select the Primary Type: Use the dropdown menu to select your Pokemon’s primary type. This is a mandatory field and includes options such as Fire, Water, Grass, and many others.
- Select the Secondary Type: If your Pokemon has a secondary type, select it from the next dropdown. If not, choose “None” from the options available. Like the primary type, this is also a required field.
Step 2: Entering Move Types
Next, you will need to input the types of moves your Pokemon uses into the calculator:
- Select Move 1 Type: Use the dropdown menu to select the type of the first move your Pokemon uses. This is a compulsory entry.
- Select Move 2 Type: If your Pokemon has a second move, choose its type from the dropdown. If not, select “None.” This field is also required.
Step 3: Interpreting Results
After completing your selections, the calculator will compute various results to help you analyze your Pokemon’s strengths and weaknesses:
- Defensive Weaknesses: The calculator will display the types your Pokemon is weak against, providing insights into what types to be cautious around.
- Defensive Resistances: It will also display the types your Pokemon resists, highlighting your defenses against specific attack types.
- Offensive Coverage: The calculator will identify which types the chosen moves are super effective against, indicating the effectiveness of your offensive strategy.
- Coverage Score: Finally, a coverage score in percentage form will appear, summarizing the overall effectiveness of your moveset.
By following these steps and assessing the results, you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of your Pokemon’s type dynamics and make informed decisions in your battles.
