Step-by-Step Guide to Using the Pool Cost Calculator
The Pool Cost Calculator is designed to help you estimate the costs associated with constructing and maintaining a pool, based on your desired specifications. Follow these steps to use the calculator effectively:
Step 1: Enter Pool Dimensions
- Pool Length: Enter the desired length of your pool in meters. The length should be between 2 and 50 meters, with increments of 0.1 meters.
- Pool Width: Enter the desired width of your pool in meters. Ensure the width is between 2 and 25 meters, and can be adjusted in steps of 0.1 meters.
- Average Pool Depth: Input the average depth of your pool in meters. This value should range between 0.5 and 3 meters, with available increments of 0.1 meters.
Step 2: Choose Pool Type
Select the type of pool you intend to construct. Options include:
- Concrete Pool: Has a base cost factor of 1200.
- Fiberglass Pool: Comes with a cost factor of 800.
- Vinyl-Lined Pool: The most budget-friendly option with a cost factor of 600.
Step 3: Select Additional Features
Choose from a range of additional features for your pool:
- Basic (No extras): No additional costs.
- Standard: Includes lighting and basic heating for an additional cost of 5000.
- Premium: Offers lighting, advanced heating, and water features for an additional 12000.
- Luxury: Includes all features with smart controls, costing 20000.
Step 4: Review Calculated Results
Once you have entered all necessary inputs, the calculator will provide the following outputs:
- Pool Volume: Calculated using the formula poolLength * poolWidth * poolDepth and displayed in cubic meters (m³).
- Surface Area: Given by poolLength * poolWidth and shown in square meters (m²).
- Construction Cost: Determined by the formula (poolLength * poolWidth * poolDepth) * poolType, presented in USD.
- Features Cost: Equivalent to the selected features option, displayed in USD.
- Total Estimated Cost: The sum of constructionCost + featuressCost + (surfaceArea * 100), also in USD.
- Annual Maintenance Cost: Calculated as (poolVolume * 50) + (surfaceArea * 25) and shown as an annual cost in USD/year.
By following these steps, you will receive a comprehensive estimate of both the construction and maintenance costs for your desired pool setup.
