This guide will walk you through the steps to calculate the volume of your pool in gallons, along with the chlorine treatment required and the estimated time it will take to fill the pool. Follow these steps to use the calculator effectively.

Step 1: Select the Pool Shape

Select the shape of your pool from the available options. You can choose between:

• Rectangular
• Circular
• Oval

It is important to accurately select your pool’s shape as this will determine the formula used for the calculation.

Step 2: Enter Pool Dimensions

Depending on the shape of your pool, you will need to fill out different dimensions:

• For Rectangular and Oval Pools:
• Enter the Length of the pool in feet. The length should be between 1 and 100 feet.
• Enter the Width of the pool in feet. The width should be between 1 and 100 feet.
• For Circular Pools:
• Enter the Diameter of the pool in feet. The diameter should be between 1 and 100 feet.

Additionally, for all pool shapes:

• Enter the Average Depth of the pool in feet. The depth should be between 1 and 20 feet.

Step 3: Calculate the Results

Once all required fields are filled out, use the calculator to compute the following:

• Pool Volume: This will show you the total number of gallons of water your pool holds, formatted to the nearest whole number.
• Chemical Treatment: This provides the amount of chlorine (in gallons) needed for maintenance, formatted to two decimal places.
• Estimated Fill Time: This gives you an approximate time in hours for how long it will take to fill your pool, formatted to one decimal place.
