Step-by-Step Guide for Using the Gaming Sensitivity Calculator

This guide will walk you through using the Gaming Sensitivity Calculator to determine your optimal mouse sensitivity settings for gaming. The calculator adjusts your in-game sensitivity based on your current DPI (Dots Per Inch) and desired DPI settings, with options to convert this to other games’ sensitivities.

Step 1: Input your Current DPI

  • Locate the Current DPI input field.
  • Enter your current mouse DPI setting. Ensure that this value is between 100 and 32000 and in increments of 50.
  • This value is required to proceed with the calculations.

Step 2: Enter your Current In-Game Sensitivity

  • Find the Current In-Game Sensitivity field.
  • Input your current sensitivity setting from the game you are playing. This should be a value between 0.001 and 100, with increments of 0.001.
  • This field is mandatory for accurate results.

Step 3: Specify your Target DPI

  • Navigate to the Target DPI field.
  • Input the desired DPI setting for which you want to adjust your sensitivity. Make sure it is within the range of 100 to 32000, incrementing by 50.
  • This input is essential for calculating the new sensitivity settings.

Step 4: Select your Game

  • Find the Game dropdown menu.
  • Select the game you are playing from the options provided: CS:GO/CS2, Valorant, Overwatch, or Apex Legends.
  • This selection will be used to calculate the converted game sensitivity if needed.

Step 5: Review the Results

Once all required fields are filled out, the calculator will automatically compute and display the results.

  • Current eDPI: This value is calculated by multiplying your current DPI by your current in-game sensitivity. It provides a composite measure of your sensitivity settings.
  • New In-Game Sensitivity: This is calculated by dividing the product of your current DPI and sensitivity by your target DPI. This result suggests your adjusted sensitivity for the target DPI.
  • Converted Game Sensitivity: A calculated value that adjusts the new sensitivity to match the scale of the selected game. It is computed using the game’s conversion factor.
  • cm/360°: This value represents the centimeters you need to move your mouse for a 360-degree turn in the game. It offers a physical sense of how your sensitivity settings translate into movement.

By following these steps, you can effectively customize your gaming sensitivity settings for improved gameplay across various DPI and game sensitivity scales.
