How to Use the Tank Volume Calculator

This guide will walk you through the steps to use the Tank Volume Calculator effectively. Follow the instructions carefully to input the correct values and obtain the desired results.

Step 1: Select the Tank Shape

  • Open the Tank Shape selection menu: You will see a dropdown list labeled “Tank Shape.” Click on this to view your options.
  • Choose the appropriate shape: Select one from the available options – “Rectangular/Square,” “Cylindrical,” or “Spherical.” Ensure you choose the shape that matches your tank.

Step 2: Enter Tank Dimensions

  • For Rectangular/Square Tanks:

    • Input the Length (meters): Enter the length of the tank in meters. The value should be between 0.01 and 1000 meters.
    • Input the Width (meters): Enter the width of the tank in meters. Make sure it’s between 0.01 and 1000 meters.
    • Input the Height/Depth (meters): Enter the height of the tank in meters, within the range of 0.01 and 1000 meters.
  • For Cylindrical Tanks:

    • Input the Radius (meters): Enter the radius of the tank in meters, ensuring it is between 0.01 and 1000 meters.
    • Input the Height/Depth (meters): Enter the tank height in meters, ranging from 0.01 to 1000 meters.
  • For Spherical Tanks:

    • Input the Radius (meters): Enter the tank radius in meters. This should be between 0.01 and 1000 meters.

Step 3: Enter the Fill Level

  • Input the Fill Level (%): Specify how full the tank is as a percentage. Enter a value between 0 and 100.

Step 4: View the Results

  • Total Tank Volume: This will be displayed in cubic meters (m³) and is calculated based on your inputs.
  • Current Fill Volume: See the filled volume in cubic meters as a proportion of the total volume.
  • Current Fill Volume in Liters: The filled volume is also presented in liters.
  • Current Fill Volume in Gallons: You will also see the volume in gallons for convenience.
  • Remaining Volume: The remaining volume of the tank in cubic meters will be displayed, helping you understand unused capacity.

By following these steps, you can easily calculate and analyze different aspects of your tank’s volume. Ensure that all inputs are accurate for precise results.
